Final Preparation!

Tonight I am packing up! Tomorrow I have a full day planned, but there is a little pampering involved! I have some work related stuff, which includes car seat installation, until 1:29....ha, then at 1:30 I am laying down for a massage! Then its off to Burwell...

This past week and weekend have been full of a little work and a little wedding prep! I soaked taper candles, packed everything up, packing up honeymoon bags and packed my clothes to move to Burwell!

I was sorting through some pictures tonight and had to share a couple...

The first ones are a good problem to have....so many things from my bridal showers that I had to reorganize my kitchen!

Then, my organization OCD kicked in and I bought a closet organizer! Thanks to my daddy for putting in it for me!

Hair Trial Run, Last Fitting...Winding down!

As these last weeks are winding down it seems like this is really going to happen :) hehe! Today I had my trial run with my hair, it went very well! I am going to have all of my hair up do to its inability to hold curl! The veil will be removable and I am wearing a crystal beading headband! I had to go get a different one today though because the one I originally had is too wide...thank god for a Bridal Store in town! Sixty-six bobby pins later and a shower and I'm back to my normal self ;)
After I had my hair done I went to the Bridal Loft to try my dress on after its first alterations...success, it was beautiful!
Today I also went over to some friends of ours, the Svobodas, to get some decorating items! A few boxes of lights and stemware...we are almost there!
Can't believe it is here, but after all this planning I am so excited to see everything come together! Only 4 more nights of work, 1/2 day of car seats and meetings....a massage, manicure and some decorating away from walking down the aisle! Let the final countdown begin...

24 Days...

Wow...24 days!

Today was pretty productive! My mom finished up the programs this evening while I wrapped and bagged all the gifts that Todd and I are giving to people! I also sent out the rehearsal information to all those involved today! My task list is winding down...now its time for all the fun!

Marriage License

This morning Todd and I went in and filled out the paperwork to receive our marriage license (aka death certificate per Todds wording). What a funny guy he is! Talk about paperwork...well it wasn't too bad, you have to fill out one piece of paper. If you are ever doing the same, make sure you know your mom and dad's birthplace because that seems to be pertinent to our marriage!

Food!

My parents and I met with our caterer today. She has been catering for 30 years now and is wonderful. As with any small towns it happens that people are related, she is the grandmother to one of our groomsmen! Todd has ate food that she has prepared several times at Tyler's brandings. His one request was the little potatoes she makes, can't wait to try them - evidently they are heavenly!

Speed bump...I hope!

Well, I'm hoping it is just a speed bump! Back in February or March I had reserved both of the hair salons in Burwell to do the bridal party hair updos. Today, when I was calling to confirm those appointments and set up a little bit of a schedule one of them backed out! Ugh...

Now with only a month left to go I hope I can get this straightened out and look back on it as just a little speed bump in the road!

40 days...

Well, today we have hit the 40 day mark! I can't believe how fast time is going. On the positve, I still don't feel stressed! :) I am working on programs and floral arrangements right now. Our programs are a few pages long and they require some cutting, so they are a little time consuming!

Yesterday I had my second bridal shower. This one was in Ewing and hosted by the mothers of the class of 2003! In Ewing, the tradition is that you host a shower for each person from your high school class that gets married. Now that I have had mine, my mom will be in charge of the shower for the next person out of my class to tie the knot! The shower was very lovely and I had a great time with friends and family!
