Check another thing off the list...

Well, this week we rounded up the bridesmaid dress shopping! Abbey came on Thursday after class. She picked a personal favorite of mine, probably because I've wore it before :) The dress she decided on was the same dress I wore for my friend Alicia's wedding! It is a long, strapless dress with a lace up back. Absolutely beautiful on her!

Last but not least, Alicia came this morning. She is home from Texas, so it worked out perfectly with when the other girls picked out their dresses! After trying on six different dresses, which made for some hard choices, she settled on a dress with a drop waistline and lace up back.

I cannot wait for the dresses to come in! Everyones choices are absolutely beautiful and compliment them all so well!

Bridesmaids!

Today was a great day with the girls. The four bridesmaids showed up about 12:15 and we went out for lunch at a local cafe. After eating a light lunch we headed to the Bridal Loft to dress shop! The place was very busy with a wedding in town and Burwell's Prom the owner was busy handing out corsages and bouquets to everyone! We headed upstairs to the room full of Alfred Angelo bridesmaid and bridal dresses!

Megan Huber went first, trying on two different dresses! She settled on a tea length dress that is beautiful! Next up was Emily, she went all out trying on 4 different dresses! However, she stuck with her first instict and after trying on one a second time went with her first decison...a floor length strapless with a bit of a train. Darcey was the third to take to the fitting room. She had 3 different choices, and after a little bit of a show settled with a flowing floor length gown. Sparr went last and had one choice that she liked! Her dress is has a 'wrap-around' effect with a lace up back. Of coarse, we finished up the day by me trying on my dress for the girls!

After spending a little sweet cash, we headed out of town for a drive! I took the girls to the "scene of the crime" from November 14th where Todd proposed. Our little tour then took us down Jones Canyon, past Fort Hartsuff and a cruise around the lake. We then met up with Todd and went out for supper at Sandstone Grill (always delicious!).

It was a wonderful day with the girls! Much needed laughter and 'girls day'. I am excited for their dresses to come in so we can see them in the color of the wedding! On Thursday, Abbey is coming up to pick out a dress and Alicia will round out the sixth dress on Friday.

Girl Day!

Tomorrow four of my six bridesmaids are coming to Burwell to spend the afternoon. We are going to go to the Bridal Loft and search for bridesmaid dresses! I'm excited for the girl day and a little R&R! The four coming tomorrow are Emily Owen, Amanda Sparr, Megan Huber and Darcey Shabram.
Abbey and Alicia Klawinski can't make it do to other obligations so Abbey is coming next Thursday and Alicia next Friday! It'll be nice to know what dresses we are going with!

Our "Hunting-moon"

This past weekend Todd tenatively put the plans in motion for us to go to Colorado after the wedding. I've never been to Colorado so I'm quite excited! This was initially talked about at the Big Buck Classic we attended in January, but more plans were made this past weekend when Wes Atkinson came to Ericson to turkey hunt with Sam. We are planning to leave on Sunday after the wedding! A couple days of coyote hunting, and a few days of relaxing...can't wait!

Party Bus!

We officially have a BUS! We are renting the bus as a way to get all of the wedding party back to Burwell after the wedding. Of coarse, we might have to make a pit stop at the Elyria Bar...but that shouldn't be a problem! :)

Project Invitation

Yesterday while in Norfolk I purchased a rotary cutter and mat to cut all of the invitations and programs for the wedding. I decided this morning that I would try them out to see if it was going to work like I wanted! They went pretty well...so far I have 149 pieces cut for the background of the invitations...only 33 more pieces of paper to cut down and I will have them done, well this phase at least! Hopefully I continue on my goal to get these small projects done so that I'm not having to do it all at once! Just trying to ease the stress anyway possible!

More purchases!

Yesterday I made a quick trip to Norfolk again becauase Hobby Lobby decided to run their 'Bridal Event' 50% off special 4 days after I went to Norfolk last week! It worked out well though because I did get a lot of stuff purchased!

First I went to Hobby Lobby because I got a little fight in me and decided that I better not let one second slip to let another bride sneak in front of me and get something I wanted :) Can't you just picture me taking out some girl who had the flower girl basket I wanted!? Well luckily things weren't too picked over and I did get the flower girl basket, guest book and cake topper. I also found a few other candle things for table decorations.

Next, I went over to the mall and purchased my wedding band at Riddles! I looked at it last week when I was there, and liked it again yesterday so no better time like the present. Especially because it was on sale :) I also found one that I think Todd will like, so now we just need to figure out his size!
Then I stopped at the Dollar Tree quick before finally hitting up Wal-Mart! At the Dollar Tree I found these T-Lite Candle Holders to place around the cake! I'm quite excited about them! So, overall it was a pretty good day!

We're Registered!

Today one of my bridesmaids and I went to Norfolk to do a little shopping. Emily and I left at about noon, but before shopping began we had to stop and feast on my birthday lunch at Applebees! We seem to like to travel around our birthdays! :) I had to pick up a couple floral stems at Hobby Lobby, and also found the two other ribbon colors to tie onto the bubbles that I've been searching for.

My one agenda for the trip was to work on our registry at Wal-Mart. I had already done some online stuff, however a lot of the stuff in the stores I did not realize isn't online! So after we finally got someone to help us print off the barcode, we went to the jewelry counter and they gave us our little scanner to go to town! And that we did...I plan to add a couple more things that I thought of the next time I go to the store, however we knocked off a big chunk of the list!

I don't think that I will end up registering anywhere else. Wal-Mart is good for everything and where I have purchased a lot of the home items we have, so this way things will match! In lieu of Todd having to work, Emily was a wonderful help today!

Good day!

Today has been a pretty good/productive day! I have finalized a few things for the wedding. The first of them being our ring bearer. We are having my little cousin, Bryce. He is the son of my godfather, Duane, and his wife, Missy. Bryce will have a weekend full of celebration as his birthday is October 10th, making him 4 the day after our wedding!

The second thing I finalized today is the videographer. I decided to pay a little money and have someone do it, rather than asking anyone in the family. That way everyone can enjoy the day!

Finally, I put in a call for transportation and am waiting for a call back from them. As long as they aren't booked we will have the 'Boogie Man Express' taking the wedding party from the wedding to the reception!
