My room...the flower shoppe!
If you walked into my room right now and didn't know what was going on you would probably question my decor! :) I thought I'd give you a little sneak peak at the flower shoppe that has exploded in my room!

Official start of flowers making...
Today is the official start of flower making! I'm excited to get this project underway. Before I could start, however I had to find an area that I could leave everything set up and have an ongoing project so that I could work on it all the time, if even for just a few minutes. So the piles of junk that have been occupying my desk, have now landed a new home...in my closet!
I haven't accomplished much today but the biggest thing I need to get done is make the stems that have multiple flowers on them into single long
stems for the bouquets. It was a little bit of trial and error to start; the way I had read about how to do it didn't work! So thankfully I purchased a heavy gauge 'floral stem' because the actual rolls of floral wire that I thought I was supposed to use for this project didn't work as planned!

Approval Needed
I have been meaning for a couple of weeks now to either mail or drop off with Father Tom our selections we made for our mass. At the end of our classes, we were given a book with all of the readings and options for vows, prayers, etc. Monday I went to drop it off at the church and a funeral was going on...bad omen!? :) Aww, nah!!
Today I mailed off that form, and our wedding program for final approval of the songs. Hopefully I will hear from Father within the next few days and then turn this place into a printing press!

Pictures...Check!
Well, although I was pretty nervous about how they would go, our engagement pictures are done! They went VERY well! Todd was actually the one who did well, I was the one who couldn't figure out how to tilt my head or where to put my chin :) And he was the one who thought we could just use the picture of us with my deer from last November!
Our photographer is Tammy Cheatum from Orchard, she's awesome! She is fun and outgoing which makes it so easy to get through the picutres. In 45 minutes we covered over 60 poses, 3 outfit changes, and a drive around Orchard! Now I can't wait to see the finished results! ....146 days and counting....

First Dance
Last night Todd and I went to a 25th anniversary celebration for JP & Donita Conrad. The night was full of fun and ended with some previews of how things will be for us in 25 years...with discussions about cars and tearing up sod in the yard! :) JP & Donita also purchased a BRAND NEW, seamless stainless steel cream can in Grand Island yesterday for our rehearsal supper. They, along with Tammy & Jerry Rowse, are going to cook a classic cream can supper! On our way home from the party, Todd and I drove around listening to CDs. While listening, we came across the song that we both settled on to be our first dance song!
